Every Pair Tells a Story - The only privately owned watch on the moon
In 1971 on the lunar surface Apollo 15 Astronaut Commander David Scott’s Nasa issue watch malfunctioned. Timing was critical to his upcoming moon walk, a mistake in monitoring his use of water, battery and air in his Portable Life Support System might result in failure to return to the lunar module. Thankfully amongst personal items he had brought his trusted Bulova watch. David successfully ventured his moon walk wearing the Bulova which remained on his wrist throughout the mission and return voyage until finally splashing down in the Pacific Ocean.
The Bulova remains the only privately owned watch ever worn on the moon and since fetching $1.4M at auction in 2015 from an anonymous buyer it is rumoured to be the world’s most expensive piece of Astronaut memorabilia.
We happily offer a 30 day no quibble returns policy just in case you or the recipient are for any reason less than ecstatic with your pair! We're sure you'll love them!
